Hatco Corporation Awarded ESOP Company of the Year by the WI Chapter of the ESOP Association

(Waukesha, WI) (Mar. 9, 2015) - Hatco® Corporation, a 100% employee owned manufacturer with locations in Milwaukee and Sturgeon Bay, Wis., was recently named ESOP Company of the Year by the WI Chapter of the ESOP Association. 

The ESOP Association is the largest advocacy and education association that focuses on preserving and promoting employee ownership through the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) structure. The ESOP Association serves 2,800 employee owned companies with 18 local Chapters and the WI Chapter of the ESOP Association serves 105 corporate and professional member companies locally. 

The award was presented by Executive Committee member and Immediate Past President, Sherri McDermott who cited Hatco as “an excellent example of a company committed to employee ownership. They do so many things to foster ownership behavior and encourage ownership thinking. They keep employees engaged through a variety of fun and educational events, and they also find ways to give back to their community. Hatco is very active in the ESOP community at the state, regional, and national levels and has hosted six legislative visits in the last five years. We are honored to present this award to a company that does its best to provide a great workplace for their employee owners!”

Hatco will now compete against winners from the 17 other local chapters at the National ESOP Association Conference in Washington, D.C. May. The winner will be presented with the coveted National ESOP Company of the Year Award.
